Features & Capabilities

Not just a click. A pulse you can feel. Build polyrhythms, shape your swing, and train your ear to hear the groove.

Most metronomes just click. Zeitgeist Metronome thinks with you.

Built for musicians who want more than a ticker — a practice tool that guides your ear, shapes your groove, and grows with your rhythm.

Feel the Pulse. Hear the Polyrhythm.

At the heart of Zeitgeist Metronome is the PULS-Feature: a steady sine tone beneath the click that guides your ear to the downbeat — even inside complex polyrhythms. The difference between counting a 3:5 and actually feeling it.

Four Modes. One Practice Tool.

  • A sine tone (PULS) guides your ear to the downbeat
  • Continuously adjustable swing gives the beat a shuffle feel that sounds like real music
  • Four modes cover everything from a single beat to recursive polyrhythmic patterns
  • Shape your own click sound per track: pitch, decay, body, and transient — fully adjustable
  • A BPM flywheel with momentum that actually feels like playing
  • No subscriptions. No data collection. No account needed. No clutter. One focused practice tool.

Mode 1: Simple Mode The clearest starting point. One track, an adjustable beat count from 1 to 16, and four microbeat presets — triplets, eighths, sixteenth notes, and an outer subdivision pattern. Everything you need to establish a solid pulse before moving further.

Mode 2: Grid Mode Two independent tracks run simultaneously on a shared LCM time grid — the foundation for true polyrhythm practice. Set for example Track A to 3 and Track B to 7, and hear and feel a 3:7. Any combination works. Each beat cell has four individual volume levels, so you can shape the accent of every single hit. A micro accent bar sits between the two tracks for additional rhythmic detail. Pinch to zoom in or out on the grid. The PULS sine tone is available here — it holds the ground pulse steady while the two rhythms move around each other.

Mode 3: Circle Mode The same polyrhythm as Grid Mode, visualised as concentric rings. Track A on the outer ring, Track B on the inner ring, micro accents in between. For musicians who find the pulse easier to feel when they can see it move in circles rather than across a linear grid.

Mode 4: Step Mode Build rhythms from scratch. Every beat is its own cell — drag a division tool onto it and it splits: into 2, 3, 4, or any custom divisor from 5 to 13. Each subdivision can be split again, up to three levels deep. This is the mode for patterns that no standard metronome setting can produce. Reset individual beats or start the whole pattern over at any time.

In All Metronome Modes: Swing & Timing Real music doesn't live on a perfect grid. The swing control adds a continuously adjustable shuffle feel from 0 to 50 percent. The timing offset shifts the entire pulse early or late by milliseconds — for practising with the kind of subtle push and pull that defines musical groove.

Click Editor Every track has its own sound. Adjust pitch from 200 Hz to 6 kHz, shape the decay and release, control the noise transient and the body resonance. The click of your metronome should feel as personal as your playing.

Features:
