The Modern Forms iOS app is plagued by reliability and UX issues, with frequent logins, unstable connections, and frequent crashes making it hard to control multiple fans. Positives cited include the fans’ design, scheduling, and some hardware integrations (wall switches, remotes, and Google Home). Pros

Fans have an attractive design/appearance.

Frequent sign-in/log-in/out issues and session timeouts; the app often requires re-authentication.
Unreliable connectivity to fans: frequent disconnects, fans not responding, and long spin/wait times.
App crashes frequently and sometimes requires reinstall; devices can disappear from the app.
Poor multi-fan management: difficult to view/control all fans from one screen and issues pairing multiple fans (second fan difficulties, no easy multi-device view).
Inconsistent smart-home integrations: Alexa support is partial and Google Home reliability is spotty; overall app UI/update cadence is poor (outdated login system).

Recent reviews

After much work I managed to get the app connected to my fan and I controlled the fan remotely while I had the app open. After that first time, the app has never worked again. It even made my wall remote stop working. My lightbulbs manage to have better connectivity than this fan and app. I do not at all recommend it under any circumstances.

This app feels like a single page web application built with a beta version of Angular 1 and stuffed into a browser. I haven’t used many apps worse than this one. Absolute trash. Avoid the fans and this app if you can.
