Transparent Language Online is a Chrome extension that lets you take your language learning with you. It requires a Transparent Language Online account to use—simply log in with your existing username and password on the app's login screen. With this extension, you can access 100+ languages, Alphabet Lessons, topic-based vocabulary, and core skill-building activities (listening, speaking, reading, writing) right in your browser. It also provides Smart Insight and Review to show your progress and determine when to review learned items.

Privacy is built into the app. The extension follows the Transparent Language Online privacy guidelines: optional name and phone for alerts; email used for password recovery and notifications; anonymized pronunciation recordings stored briefly for Sound Analysis; and optional user-created lessons. I am loving Transparent Language lessons and grateful for the library offering. It’s been empowering to learn so quickly and have so many options. Whether brushing up on French or learning new and exciting skills like Dakota or German, it’s always easy and adventurous! The only thing I would improve upon is the continuity between language learning and the navigation of some of the lessons. It gets a little confusing at times.

I’m using this app to study Chinese. I wish I could save words from the grammar lessons as vocabulary to review. That’d make it 5 stars for me. But it’s great !! Feels more like lessons than other language apps
