Language Transfer provides free audio courses that teach you to take control of your thought process. There's no sign-up required — just pick a language and start learning! Available courses include Spanish, Greek, Swahili, German (work in progress), Arabic, Turkish, Italian, French, Introduction to English for Spanish speakers, and Introduction to Music Theory.

This Chrome extension delivers the same free audio as LanguageTransfer.org, with offline downloads, progress saving, and playback when your phone is locked. Anonymous usage data helps improve the experience, and you can opt out in Settings. The project is open source on GitHub at github.com/language-transfer.

This app is a must have for learning a new language. Language Transfer truly teaches you how to think about the language vs just memorizing (often temporarily) words. I can’t recommend this app enough!

App is fantastic! I wish I could use it but they don’t have Swedish, which I am trying to learn.

I find it ten thousand times easier to understand what I’m trying to learn with the actual teaching of language not just the words. My only issue with the app is that the pauses in the audio between the question and answers isn’t quite long enough, and often times I don’t get to pause it in time even with my phone in my hand. I’m currently working on the Spanish lessons and it is quite comprehensible as someone with absolutely zero prior Spanish. I like how it teaches you to come up with the words using logic, and teaches you the logic rather than just teaching you the words.
