User Reviews

Overall, Stardew Valley on iOS is beloved for its depth, charm, and long-term replayability, with no ads and cross‑platform appeal. However, the mobile port is hampered by persistent UI scale issues (notches, off-screen elements), stability and saving problems (crashes, lost progress, no autosave), and refund/save-transfer frustrations (hard-to-find refunds, saves not transferable between devices). The core farming experience remains strong, but the mobile experience needs polish to match the game's depth and consistency.
Pros
  • Rich, expansive content with many storylines and multiple save slots, offering high replayability.
  • Cozy, relaxing gameplay with well-developed characters and quests; engaging and addictive without ads.
  • Strong mobile port with cross‑platform appeal, usable on iOS and appreciated by players who also own other platforms.
  • No ads and no progression purchases mentioned by users, preserving a focused gaming experience.
Cons
  • Mobile UI/scale and layout issues: notches, off‑screen dialogs/toolbars, energy bar and menus that don’t fit the screen.
  • Stability and saving problems: crashes when focus is lost or during calls; progress can be lost; inconsistent or absent autosave.
  • Cross-device save transfer and online play friction: saves may not transfer between devices; version differences hinder online play; iOS updates lag.
  • Refund difficulties: hard to locate refund options and some users report Apple refunds issues.
  • Small, pixelated UI and controls feel unintuitive on mobile, impacting usability.
