User Reviews

Users like the convenience of mobile payments and service alerts, plus easy use once a wallet is set up and the app’s general availability. However, recurring problems include wallet/funding failures, unreliable QR code scans, frequent login/logout issues, OS-update-related instability, and a clunky interface that hampers daily use.
Pros
  • Convenient mobile payments for rides (paying with the phone instead of cash).
  • Alerts for service interruptions help users stay informed.
  • App is now open to the general public and can be easy to use once the wallet is set up.
Cons
  • Frequent wallet and funding problems, including inability to add funds, disappearing wallets, and refund difficulties (often under $5).
  • QR code scanning is unreliable and often fails to read at scanners.
  • Repeated login/logout/account access issues, such as being logged out and password reset problems.
  • Stability issues after OS updates (notably iOS 13), impacting C-Pass and purchasing passes.
  • Clunky, slow, and non-intuitive user interface that makes basic actions tedious.

I don’t know what they did to this app but I again tried to put money on here for my daughter to buy a ticket & yet again it took my money & I have no clue where the ticket went? It just keeps saying something about a wallet but I’m not using anything different than usual. I tried to get my money back last time & the lady pretty much said, “Sorry your up a creek bc we don’t refund anything under $5.” So now it’s $6 so they can give me my money back. You add up all the money that gets taken under $5 you get quite a bit of money.

Logs out every two weeks and says my pass is used by another device. I gave up on the app and got a physical card

I used to use this app regularly with no issues. Then, out of the blue, it stopped accepting the card I had on file to add funds. Regardless of which card I use (credit card, debit card, Visa or Mastercard), my attempt to add funds in unsuccessful and I receive an error message that the card I’m using is not valid/accepted (something along those lines). Again, even the card I used to add funds from the very beginning of me using the app is now no longer compatible with my COTA Connector app. As a result, I’ve switched to the Transit app completely, but I liked having both as an option like I did in the past. It came in very handy when my fiancé’s phone died and I was able to pay my bus fare with the Transit app and his bus fare with the COTA Connector App. Wouldn’t be able to do that anymore…
