Overview

Features & Capabilities

Cardiograph Heart Rate is a practical palm-based pulse monitor that uses your phone camera to measure heart rate through color changes in your fingertip. It delivers real-time HR data via PPG and shows a live heartbeat graph, designed for workouts and general fitness. The app has been tested by doctors, nurses, and fitness professionals to provide reliable readings in everyday use.

How to use: Gently place the tip of your finger on the camera lens so it covers it completely and hold your phone steady. Important: this is not a professional medical device; readings are approximate and should not replace medical equipment or advice. Use it to track trends and coach your training.

User Reviews

Users largely say Cardiograph Heart Rate can display a heart rate and is free, but reliability and usability are major problems. Many report inaccurate or constant readings, intrusive ads and hidden subscription charges, and a clunky UI with overlapping controls and limited navigation. Some reviews note device-specific issues and lack of finger-position cues. A minority claim acceptable accuracy or alignment with other devices, but the overall sentiment is negative.
Pros
  • Provides a heart rate reading.
  • Free to use (no upfront cost).
  • Readings can align with other devices (e.g., Apple Watch) in some cases.
  • Some users report the measurements as accurate.
Cons
  • Inaccurate or inconsistent heart rate readings across devices and activities (e.g., constant 72 bpm, wildly off results).
  • Ads are intrusive and monetization is aggressive, including hidden subscription costs.
  • Poor UI/UX with overlapping buttons, limited navigation, and crashes; users cannot save or view history effectively.
  • Device compatibility and finger-detection issues (no clear indicator to show finger is correctly positioned; readings can be unreliable across devices).

This just shows you ads that won’t leave the screen unless you buy an app from the App Store.

This app is so far behind off it says my heart rate is at 36 which I’d be dead or it says it’s over 200 which again I’d be having a heart attack. This app needs to quit showing fake results and fake reviews. This is one of the worst apps you can download.
