Users broadly like J.O.E. as a useful companion to Jura machines: it makes it easy to order ahead, control the coffee remotely, and customize drinks. However, consistent feedback highlights nagging reliability problems: connectivity failures, breaking changes after updates, and misalignment between app and machine settings. The UI can be clumsy, with navigation and feedback issues. The app adds value but needs stabilization, better UX alignment with the hardware, and reliable saving of custom drinks.

Pros

Easy to use and quick for ordering ahead, giving convenient remote control of drinks.

Cons

Frequent connectivity and pairing problems between the app and the machine (Bluetooth/Wi‑Fi).

As much as we pay for these machines, you would think they would design a better app. The selection screen doesn’t even match the selection screen on my coffee maker. Doesn’t seem to be any way to change it. If there is a way. I can’t seem to find it.

Z10 connected to Wi-Fi successfully, and the coffee machine indicated it was connected. Cool Control also connected, and the JOE app successfully paired with the coffee machine. However, despite all devices being on Wi-Fi, the JOE app did not display the coffee machine. I had blue Wi-Fi modules and replaced them with white Wi-Fi Connect V2 modules. I deleted and reinstalled the app, rebooted my phone, and even disconnected and reconnected the coffee machine to Wi-Fi, but nothing resolved the issue.
