Tardigrain is a granular synthesiser for iOS that runs standalone or as an AU plugin. Sounds are generated by slicing samples into grains and replaying them non-linearly, with controls for grain size, direction, and step size, plus a selection of effects to sculpt the tone.

Record or import samples via AudioCopy or drag-and-drop, and explore a chromatic granular playpack. The app supports extensive modulation via MIDI (AU, Inter‑App Audio, and AUv3 MIDI) or aftertouch on the built‑in keyboard, plus four LFOs and a note sequencer/arpeggiator. It also includes a wave shaper, reverb, sample crusher, resonant filters, and flexible routing through AudioCopy, AudioBus, Inter App Audio, and AUv3, with presets and save/load for your setups.
