Pros

Mobile app is usable on smartphones (iPhone and Android).
Cameras themselves are great hardware and integrate with the Lorex system.
Motion alerts/notifications help with monitoring.

Cons

Frequent crashes and errors ('something went wrong') that prevent loading video.
Video playback often fails to load or is laggy/misses footage.
HD view settings do not persist and default to SD on each launch.
Onerous login friction from MFA and auto-logout, causing delays during doorbell events.
Updates frequently break functionality and reduce reliability (e.g., SD/HD defaults, crashes).

Recent reviews

This app seems to have major flaws with communicating with the doorbell camera. Anytime I get an alert that somebody is at my door the video feed never loads. If somebody rings the doorbell it will call to my phone but I get an error if I try to view the video or answer the call. I’ve emailed customer service about this and never heard back. Also, the hardware that rings the doorbell works maybe 30% of the time and when it does it’s a single half ding and not like it was when it was a simple basic doorbell. This all makes the camera absolutely worthless if I can’t use the core advertised features.
