EPIC delivers a visually impressive, free-to-use surf forecast with strong accuracy comparisons and planning utility, especially for fishing. However, users repeatedly report inconsistent data quality across locations, intrusive ads, and broken widgets or watch support. Tide and temperature data can be off, and spot-level granularity could be sharper. Overall, its UI and usefulness are high, but reliability and integration issues keep it from being perfect until data quality and widgets improve.

Love Epic and its pure scientific analysis and approach

They put an ad in the middle of the entire screen that I can't dismiss (button doesn't close it). So... after many years I can't use it anymore. It's a friggen UI on top of NOAA - I wish these greedy surf app devs would realize they offer very little value. Make it free with no ads.
