Features & Capabilities

iHomentLight is a smart strip light controller extension that works with the iHoment app to manage colors and effects. It offers three modes: video, music, and color. In video mode, the light changes to match the screen ambience; in music mode, it reacts to ambient sound; and in color mode you can lock in a chosen color.

Control and customize lighting directly from the extension to enhance movies, gaming, or mood lighting, and enjoy immersive, adaptive illumination.

User Reviews

iHomentLight shows potential with a clean, intuitive UI and solid music-mode features, including color presets and basic remote control options that many users find enjoyable. Reviewers also praise the apps ability to save colors and the sense that it puts control in the users hands. However, repeated issues plague the experience: frequent Bluetooth/connectivity failures, updates that break compatibility or reduce brightness, and a limited feature set. Privacy concerns about microphone access add to the negatives. Overall, performance is inconsistent and needs stability and feature expansion.

Pros

Clean, intuitive UI thats easy to understand.
Music mode/reaction works well with customizable presets.
Ability to save colors and cycle between them for personalized looks.
Puts control in your hands with straightforward usability.
Solid foundation with room for features like DIY modes.

Cons

Frequent connectivity issues; lights often fail to connect or stay connected.
Updates/firmware break compatibility or reduce brightness; post-update instability.
Limited color options and features (few colors, no rainbow mode, limited scenes).
Privacy concerns due to microphone/listening permission requests.
Reliability issues; the app sometimes stops working or keeps prompting to reconnect after updates.
