User Reviews

Reviewers largely report the Fish Washington iOS app is unstable. The dominant issues are crashes during launch or updates, updates failing and requiring reinstall, and map/data features not reliably loading or displaying. Several users also complain about crashes during database merging and boot loops. A few positives emerge: when the app does run, it can be fast and easier to use, supports a mobile license, and helps users stay current with regulations. Overall, reliability and update stability are the key pain points, with some improvement noted in recent builds where the license feature and speed are appreciated.
Pros
  • Updated app loads faster and is easier to use
  • Mobile/digital license feature introduced
  • App helps users stay up to date with changing regulations
  • Map/location features exist and work when the app is functioning
Cons
  • Frequent crashes and instability, especially after updates and on launch
  • Update process often fails or requires reinstall (delete/reinstall cycle)
  • Map display/loading issues, sometimes won't load or display
  • Database merging causes crashes/boot loops
  • General navigation issues and reliability problems when interacting with the app

App won’t open today. Has crashed 3 dozen times on me. Hope I don’t run into enforcement today!!!

This app is super unreliable and gives out poor information about open and closed waters. Went fishing somewhere where, according to the app, it said it was open and available to fishing. Some nice people came up to me and informed me that it was actually closed. I went to a local fly shop to confirm and I showed them the app and they just laughed and said that this app often provides the wrong information. I thought this would be a nice app to have but now I’m worried that the information it gives me will be incorrect.

This state blows, buys baby carrots just to suck on them. Eats snickers upside down to feel the vainy part on their tongue. Dumb to have to do everything electronically
