User Reviews

Users largely like the app for providing key water/pump data and for easy setup with remote monitoring. However, the most mentioned issues are the lack of historical run data for the primary pump, inconsistent data tracking, a basic/fragile UX, and unreliable notifications. Improving data history, reliability, and usability would address the top user pain points.
Pros
  • Provides essential monitoring data (water level, pump status, battery/test results) for quick, at-a-glance understanding.
  • Easy installation and quick WiFi setup that many users report.
  • Enables remote monitoring via the app, including access during power outages for peace of mind.
  • Some run-time details are available in certain screens (e.g., last run, Today’s Cycles) and the interface is generally simple.
Cons
  • Lack of long-term historical data for the primary pump (no clear daily run times or total runtime) and limited run-time history across the app.
  • Inconsistent or unreliable run data; usage tracking can stop or be incomplete, making it hard to rely on for maintenance planning.
  • App UX is basic and sometimes problematic (repeated logins, zoom/navigation quirks) and overall feature set feels limited.
  • Alarm/notification reliability concerns (false alarms or misleading alerts) undermine trust in the app's safety role.

The app seems to do what it’s advertised to. I would like to be able to sort the pump cycle times from newest to oldest. Useful app and the primary reason I purchased the Wayne Halo50 sump pump.

I have a basement guardian system. It’s a PITA to connect it to WiFi. The app is extremely basic and not up to any standard. The company should hire a developer instead of giving this job to their middle school kids.

This could be a 5 star app. It works and does the basic. Tells me the battery is good, system is on and water level in the sump crock. Now it would be 5 star if it told me the last run, how many times it’s ran in a day things like that. It tells me the last time the test was done so it should be able to track the overall run time. Put some work in and this could be top notch.
