Remote for legacy NAD & Anthem
A simple, reliable remote for your legacy NAD and Anthem gear — control power, volume, source, and tuner presets in every zone, right over your home network.
DTrol turns your iPhone and iPad into a fast, reliable, two-way remote for your network-connected NAD and Anthem A/V processors and receivers — controlling power, mute, volume, source, and tuner presets on all your zones.
That's it — and that's probably all you need most of the time. DTrol is a zone controller: it focuses on the functions you reach for every day and does them well — just like remotes used to be.
Control Every Zone
Power, mute, volume, source, and tuner presets — zone by zone, across multiple processors and receivers.
Make It Yours
Rename zones and sources, adjust their details, and set up links that launch your source apps. Changes live in DTrol only — nothing on your equipment is modified.
Two-Way and Live
DTrol shows the real state of your equipment, not just the last button you pressed. It stays in sync with what's playing and lets you know if a device stops responding.
Direct and Private
DTrol talks to your equipment directly over your home network. There's no account, nothing in the cloud, and no personal data collected. Your setup stays on your device.
Your Setup Carries Over
Upgrading from an earlier version of DTrol? Your servers, zones, and settings come with you automatically — nothing to set up again.
Supports
- Known to support: NAD T175, T175 HD, T765, T775, T785, T187, T777, M15, M15 HD; Anthem AVM 50v and Statement D2v (and variants - the legacy AVM control protocol)
- Designed to also support: NAD T755; Anthem AVM 20, AVM 30, AVM 40, AVM 50
- Likely supports other models that speak the same NAD or Anthem legacy protocols
- Your processor or receiver must be reachable on your home network — via its Ethernet port if it has one, or through a device that bridges your network to its RS-232 port, such as the Global Caché iTach IP2SL, iTach WF2SL, or Flex
- Controlled devices must have a static IP address — this keeps DTrol fast and stable. If a device's IP address changes, re-add it in DTrol.

Setup
With your processor/receiver and your iPhone or iPad on the same network, tap "+" in DTrol to add your equipment as a DTrol "Server" — you'll need its static IP address and port. DTrol queries the device and sets up your Zones and Sources automatically; afterward you can adjust Zone names, Source names, and other details in Settings.
DTrol is free. It requires iOS 18 and a local-network connection to your equipment.
