AutoPad adds atmospheric drone textures to your mix with a single tap. It generates evolving pads in all 12 keys, supports two modes (Live and Setlist), ships with 10 pad sounds, and lets you crossfade between notes while shaping tone with filters, reverb, pan, and volume.

It’s built as an AUv3 plugin and macOS app, with Ableton Link for wireless syncing, Bluetooth MIDI, AirPlay, and easy setlist sharing and management. You can import custom pads to expand your library, and AutoPad is designed to be memory-efficient for stage use.

Pros

Easy-to-use interface with large buttons that let you start pads quickly during live worship.
Excellent ambient pad sounds and the ability to import additional pads and tweak them (tuning, filters).
Strong set-list and song management: per-song tempo, key, and pad type, plus ordering and clear per-song pad assignment.
Reliable click track and good support for external controllers (MIDI devices) in live setups.
Active development and solid iPad Pro compatibility, with positive reception from worship teams.

Cons

MIDI integration can be inconsistent: MIDI learn and external controllers don’t always work reliably across devices.
3.5-minute limit on imported pads (Motion Pads) makes longer talking segments difficult.
Pads can stop playing after extended use (10–20 minutes) requiring restarting the app.
Mac/desktop support is limited: not AU on macOS Monterey and some features don’t function well on Mac.
UI/UX quirks between Live and Set List views and some navigation confusions when moving songs between lists; chord options are limited.

It just needs a quicker way to adjust the volume and tempo of the metronome and the ability to pan the metronome and pads to opposite channels, that way we can use metronome in the in-ears only and pads to FOH.. please add this simple update and it will a 5 star app!
