A FotoMagico subscription gives you access to the FotoMagico slideshow editor on iPad and Mac, frequent updates to the apps and regularly published, useful content such as tutorials, slideshow snippets and more. Without a subscription, you can use FotoMagico for iPad to view and present slideshows you created before the subscription expired or with a previous version of FotoMagico. There is a free, 14 day trial period.

The FotoMagico subscription is a monthly, auto-renewing subscription. Payment will be charged to your App Store Account at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription is automatically renewed if it is not canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. I’ve used Fotomagico for years and was excited when it came to the iPad but even with the most recent update in November 2025, the app is only allowing me to drag 20 photos to the storyboard. When I try to add more than 20, the app crashes, when I try to add 5-10 images, the app crashes. I’ve never had this issue and I’ve made slide shows containing over 350 images with Fotomagico. Please fix this bug. Rebooting the iPad did nothing. The problem still exists.

I just loved the Mac app and trying to us this app is one of the most frustrating things. It is not intuitive and has so many bugs it actually feels like a beta product. It will not save itself automatically. I must have made four different slideshows trying to get it just to save one. If you are coming to FotoMagico for this app then I would wait to see if it develops and stick with the Mac app. Of course they tied the subscription together to it does not make a big difference. I really want them to succeed and they just need to bring the same ease of use from the Mac app to the iPad app.
