User Reviews

RAW Power is praised for strong RAW editing, fast workflow, and solid Files/external-storage integration with good cross‑device support and value. However, users report stability problems (crashes), missing advanced features (masks/repair) and UI polish issues, unreliable rating saving, and bothersome permission prompts. Overall, it’s a capable RAW editor that shines in processing and workflow but needs reliability and refinement.
Pros
  • Powerful RAW editing and processing, with broad camera support including ProRAW.
  • Fast, flexible, and easy-to-use editing workflow.
  • Strong Files app and external storage integration for viewing, culling, and pre-import work.
  • Cross-device compatibility (iPhone, iPad, macOS) with a cohesive experience.
  • Good value and reasonably priced compared to competing RAW editors.
Cons
  • Frequent crashes and stability issues (crashes on iPad, sporadic quits).
  • Missing essential tools like masks and repair, plus some UI/UX polish is lacking.
  • Unreliable saving of flags/ratings during culling, causing edits to be lost.
  • Disruptive permission prompts to access the Photos library and import/export permissions.
  • Bugs and UI quirks with presets and overall polish (e.g., zoom/focus inconsistencies).

Dev wants you to move to the new app, and sadly this one has started to have regressions. If you don’t give full photos library access, the app works fine with file system + export. But every launch, the app forces you to the settings menu to adjust permissions. Similarly, after editing a photo and exporting and then saving, some options such as luminance / equal rgb in levels and gamma in curves disappear from the UI. Still better than Nitro though.

I was looking for an app to use for culling. Unfortunately, this one doesn’t reliably save flags or ratings. Some, yes. But I don’t want to “some” of my ratings saved. In some cases, immediately after rating an image, I swipe to another one and then go back to check the rating on the first image, but no rating is shown.

A good peice of software, but needs the ability to save raw files and to remove red eye
