DK Eyewitness Travel Phrase Book Audio App is the perfect addition to your Phrase Book, and to learning a new language. For each language, over 1,300 words and phrases are spoken in the language of the title. All words are from the books and are spoken by native speakers. Simply download the free app, then use your copy of the book to fully access audio for one of five languages: French, German, Italian, Mandarin Chinese, and Spanish.

This clear and easy-to-use app contains plenty of audio content from each Phrase Book, there is audio for all the pages featuring the headphones icon. Just like the book, the vocabulary is arranged thematically, with subjects including travel and transport, food and drink, accommodation, shopping, sightseeing, and emergencies. Search for any page featuring the headphones, tap on a word to listen to it being spoken, scroll up and down the word lists for each topic, and swipe left or right to go to the next or previous page.

Recent reviews

The app downloaded and installed ok, but the audio files download failed. I tried 3 times, installing the app, removing and then reinstalling. No go. It always says “wait for the audio to download …“ and nothing. No problem on my husband phone- Samsung a52-5G with android 14.

I have the same problem as a lot of people , after scanning the book by barcode, it is not showing in the library , I don’t know why … please, fix that !!! ))

Books Never Stay Downloaded in Library I read a review from 4 years ago and it appears there is still the same issue. Whenever you download a book, it takes a few minutes to download. After it is complete, the book is not in the library. After exiting the app, you can still access the book you were last in, but if you download another one of your books in another language, the previous one will have to be redownloaded. It would be an easy fix. I’ve always thought highly of DK, so it’s a bit surprising they won’t update their apps like they do their books.
