RFT CARES

The Xamarin based iOS "RFT CARES" mobile app is used by senior care (assisted living) providers to alert their staff when the residents under their care are in need of immediate assistance.

An on-site server provided by RF Technologies acquires the alert data from wireless RF call devices (such as pull cords and fall-detection devices) located in the living areas of the residents, and also from RF "pendants" worn by the residents. These RF devices communicate back to the on-site server (no cloud or internet access) when a resident accessing the device initiates an assistance request. The server then routes these alerts to on-site caregiver staff using a variety of methods.

The alert message consists of a text string with the name of the resident, their room number, and their approximate location if they are mobile and using a pendant.
