Sony Sound Connect is the companion app for Sony headphones and Bluetooth speakers. It lets you tailor the listening experience with a customizable equalizer, switch noise cancellation modes, adjust ambient sound, and even customize Lighting Mode and lighting color. The app was renewed from Sony Headphones Connect to Sony | Sound Connect in October 2024.

In addition, you can view usage logs to review listening history, monitor sound exposure against WHO guidelines, and receive firmware updates and notifications about the latest features. Note: from version 12.5, this app requires iOS 17.0 or later. Some features may not be supported by certain devices or regions.

Never connects from first time. I have my headset connected to laptop and phone. Whenever I start it, it has trouble to connect to iPhone and I have to restart the phone for it to connect. That app is slow and inconvenient to use. It was the biggest mistake to by this useless headphone

I have used Sony noise-cancelling headphones for at least 20 years. I swore by them, despite trying cheaper competitors. I can no longer follow that path, however, as I am spending an increasing amount of time trying to disable “convenience” factors. Most significantly, the “Speak-to-Chat” function has, for years, frustrated me. But I used to always be able to disable it, whether it was the tap-input or the app settings. But nothing I seem to be able to do any more works. Instead, every 5 minutes my listening is interrupted, and there’s nothing I can do to prevent it. Next time, I’m buying a cheap Chinese competitor who does NOT have the stupid app that constantly gets in the way of the hardware working.
