I respect the things that this app tries to do, but it doesn’t actually succeed in any of it. The biggest offender is that notifications are extremely unreliable and oftentimes do not pop up until the app is opened, and they do not reliably sync across multiple devices, which makes customer contacts easily missed. Sometimes old notifications don’t appear until the app has already been opened for several minutes, when the notifications should have been pushed to all devices logged in on the account hours earlier. Call quality is mediocre at best, almost always with a pronounced lag. The app oftentimes has trouble refreshing, with a banner appearing at the top citing “no internet connection” when there is an established connection and all other software is running fine. All in all, this software feels like a lowest bid option that is just cosplaying as its more reliable and functional competitors.

I’ve wanted to set up my own contact center for my business, but Twilio was too complicated for me. I was about to give up until I discovered Spoke. Honestly, I thought it would be expensive and difficult, but the setup took just one click, everything connected automatically, and the system worked right away. The app is lightweight and easy to use, calls are high quality, and SMS was simple to activate with their instructions. It runs smoothly with no issues, and I can work directly from my phone without being tied to a computer. I rarely write reviews, but Spoke really impressed me. It’s a simple, reliable, and well-designed product that integrates perfectly with Twilio. Highly recommend it to anyone who wants a flexible and convenient contact center without the hassle.
