User Reviews

Notes Teacher is praised for its clean UI, beginner-friendly design, effective note-reading drills, and flexible input options (MIDI/mic) with a no-subscription, one-time-purchase model. Reviewers appreciate its focused, gamified practice that aids quick progress. A recurring drawback is that feedback often omits the last note before transitioning to the next screen, which can hinder final accuracy checks. Overall, it’s a solid, value-packed tool for beginners and families learning to read music.
Pros
  • Clean, simple, and easy-to-use interface
  • Effective for learning notes and sight-reading, covers treble and bass, beginner-friendly
  • Supports multiple input methods (MIDI keyboard and microphone) and can be used without an instrument
  • One-time purchase with no ads or subscriptions and good value
  • Gamified practice with levels/stars that promotes quick, focused repetition
Cons
  • Feedback for the last note is missing when moving to the next screen (last-note input not checked), a drawback noted by multiple reviewers

It either doesn’t catch the notes or u have to play them so loud it will then give you a bad mark on the next note … or u set the setting lower and it’s catching every ambient noise …
