Features & Capabilities

Morphite is a sci-fi adventure set in a distant future. You play as Myrah Kale, exploring randomly generated worlds, confronting exotic creatures, and uncovering a mystery behind the nearly extinct Morphite material. The game blends exploration, environmental puzzles, and real-time space combat as you journey from space stations to uncharted planets.

Key features include a stylized low-poly aesthetic, a soundtrack with 50+ original songs by Evan Gipson, fully voiced main storyline, ship and suit upgrades, creature scanning to sell bio information, dozens of side missions, space trading, and intense boss battles. It also supports MFi controllers and includes an intuitive star map for navigation and exploration.

User Reviews

Reviews praise Morphite’s space exploration, visuals, and atmosphere, with engaging gameplay and good value. However, stability issues, save problems, limited controller support, and assorted bugs can halt progress and leave the game feeling unfinished. Many players would like updates (and even multiplayer) to address these concerns while preserving the core space-exploration experience.
Pros
  • Immersive space exploration with varied planets and space travel, capturing a mobile No Man’s Sky vibe.
  • Stunning visuals and a fitting atmospheric soundtrack that enhances the sci-fi experience.
  • Engaging gameplay with solid gunplay and well-paced progression.
  • Worth the money; generally regarded as a quality mobile sci-fi title.
Cons
  • Frequent crashes and stability issues (startup and during play across devices).
  • Save and progress problems; autosave is unreliable and progress can be lost between sessions.
  • Controller support is incomplete or lacking (no MFi support; ship controls not fully functional with controllers).
  • Bugs and progression blockers (broken missions and game-breaking glitches) give an unfinished feel.

So, I play No Man’s Sky quite often and I can’t always have my PlayStation with me, so for my daily commutes, I play Morphite. It is a mini, mobile No Man’s Sky, and while it doesn’t have many players nowadays (it is aging), I still enjoy it so much. The game is a little bit short though, and playing constantly, you can beat it in maybe three days. nonetheless, I still recommend and more should play!

I get the whole game is built around this character, but it would be so cool if I could customize the voice, facial features (which it lacks), gender, race (like a alien or smthn), and suit! It would make it so much better in my personal opinion

I’m not sure what triggers it, but there’s a game-breaking glitch that prevents you from upgrading your armor, making it impossible to progress through the plot.
