User Reviews

Users like the app's ease of use and quick chord display, and find it a useful starting point for practice and inspiration. However, recurring subscription charges, pricing disagreements, and variable accuracy (not 100% reliable for complex songs) are the main downsides, along with workflow friction and occasional stability issues. Improvements have been reported, but pricing and accuracy remain the key concerns.
Pros
  • Easy to use: just pick a song and view the chords, with playback to hear and practice.
  • Provides a starting point for chord progressions and helps fill in gaps.
  • Portable and handy for practice anywhere.
  • Chords are often close to correct, offering useful guidance.
  • Generally seen as good value when priced affordably.
Cons
  • Recurring subscription after purchase; hidden charges and unclear billing.
  • Not 100% accurate; misses chord changes and struggles on complex songs.
  • Pricing/value concerns; many users feel it's overpriced or inconsistent.
  • Cumbersome workflow; requires uploading to Apple Music and has a clunky UI.
  • Stability/load issues after updates; occasional openings or loading problems.

Terrible UI. Requires you upload your files to Apple Music which can take hours or fail completely. As this is an iPad app, primarily, you shoud be able to put a music file in your folder and open it. The file I tested didn’t produce accurate results and I even stripped out the vocal so all it had to listen to was the music track. Wildly expensive for what it is.
