User reviews for the Cell C iOS app are overwhelmingly negative. The most common problems are crashes on launch, failed payments or bundle purchases after OTP, unstable login/authentication (auto-login issues and PIN memory), data balance/usage synchronization errors, and a buggy, slow UI with misleading navigation and unnecessary upgrade prompts.

Login/authentication instability: automatic login behavior and inability to reliably remember PIN, with frequent login prompts.
Data balance/usage syncing is inaccurate: data added to monthly limit may not reflect, and data usage is not consistently tracked (with arbitrary caps).
Poor UX and navigation: slow performance, being redirected to the wrong screens, and frequent upgrade prompts despite having the latest version.

I cannot convert my airtime into a voice bundle. It’s a stupid idea to buy airtime and then go to the app and change it to a voice bundle. Why can’t I just purchase the voice bundle through my capitec app?

This app is pathetically useless! It’s slow regardless of network reception, it takes you to the wrong places when you’re trying to get things done and sometimes tells you that you need to log in when in fact you are already logged in. It’s stupid! How a company like Cell C can entertain such a pathetic app is beyond comprehension 🤦‍♂️
