User Reviews

User reviews repeatedly cite major issues: no Apple Health integration and poor data syncing (including mid-workout drops and failed history transfer). Profile setup UI problems (limited gender options and unrealistic weight input) and an aging, DOS-like interface. Reviewers also want better progress visualization (daily/weekly/monthly charts) rather than only overall totals. A minority note positives like graph scrolling and sharing workouts for accountability, but overall the app is seen as outdated and unreliable. Improvements in health integration, syncing reliability, and richer analytics would help.
Pros
  • Graphs/Charts visualization feature exists and is appreciated by users (scrolling graphs).
Cons
  • No or poor integration with Apple Health/Apple Fitness; data never syncing across devices and history transfer failing.
  • Unreliable syncing that stops mid-workout or drops data, leading to inconsistent stats.
  • Profile setup UI issues: limited gender options (Unidentified/female) and unrealistic weight input without proper keyboard or wheel input.
  • Aging, DOS-like interface; app feels outdated compared with modern apps.
  • Lack of daily/weekly/monthly progress charts; insufficient historical data visualization.

This app is a very poor representative of a company that produces an excellent and very expensive product. After having spent thousands of dollars for my NuStep, I would've expected an app that was in keeping with the way modern apps run these days. This one is like being on the DOS train. Spend some money and get this app totally revamped.

Email accountability is great. I share every workout with my accountability partner. It keeps me motivated and allows us to keep a healthy competition going between us. Whoever does more miles in our week buys the other’s coffee on Saturday.

I’ve been trying to get this app connected to Apple Fitness and Apple Health for over a month. Apparently it is impossible. Then I find out there is ANOTHER NuStep app that does connect, but my history in this app won’t transfer or sync! Disappointed to say the least. NuStep should just pull this app from the App Store to avoid such confusion. I sure hope NuStep reads this!!
