The app won’t even open, just shows a dark background picture of the lock. I’ll never buy another Kwikset product, and recommend you don’t either!

This lock and app are only a couple of years old, yet already feel outdated and unreliable. Using an iPhone 15 Pro Max (iOS 26.3.1) with Apple TV as my Home hub (tvOS 26.4), it only works when I’m right next to the door. Remote access through HomeKit rarely works and often shows the lock as unavailable. Even basic connectivity is inconsistent. For a smart lock, this is unacceptable. It shouldn’t take constant troubleshooting just to lock or unlock a door.
