User Reviews

User reviews for the SharePoint iOS app are mixed. Many praise basic access to files and attractive rendering of lists, and some call it useful for organizational workflows. However, the majority highlight persistent issues: repeated sign-in/authentication problems, overall slowness and unresponsiveness, weak search capabilities, missing mobile features, and a clunky, non-native feel that worsens on iPad. These widespread drawbacks overshadow positives, making the app feel more like a limited reader than a full mobile SharePoint client.
Pros
  • Access to SharePoint files on mobile and ability to open/read shared documents.
  • Aesthetically pleasing UI with lists and reports that render quickly.
  • Useful for organizational workflows and quick information lookup.
  • Some reviewers describe the app as amazing or well-suited for processes.
Cons
  • Frequent sign‑in loops and account mixups (re-authentication and wrong account issues).
  • Slow performance, sluggish response, and unresponsive lists or UI.
  • Poor search functionality with difficulty locating files and missing advanced search.
  • Missing key mobile features (cannot upload to SharePoint, no save-to-camera-roll, limited 'Share To' integration).
  • Clunky, non‑intuitive UI/UX and a mobile experience that often feels less capable than the web/desktop.

Make it be able to create a doc in the app like it’s 2026 come in Microsoft

I have to sign in like 5x every time I want to get anything done. Outlook is a horror show: I pin EVERYTHING important so I can find it later and I’m up to like 30 pinned emails to scroll past when I want to check email. Search terms rarely work. It’s a First World nightmare.

How a company as affluent as Microsoft can ship a user interface this embarrassing is beyond me. Truly one of the most outstandingly awful pieces of software that is widely used.
