SmartSDR is the official FlexRadio Systems client for iPhone and iPad, providing comprehensive control of compatible FLEX-6000, FLEX-8000, and Aurora software-defined radios. The app supports SmartSDR versions 1 through 4, including SmartLink, MultiFlex, and SmartControl.

Features include FT8 and FT4, SSTV, APRS, CW decoding and keying, weather fax, panadapters, slices, filters, DX Cluster spots, band maps, memories, profiles, audio controls, transverter support, voice macros, logbook integration, and ADIF import/export. It also supports remote operation, HomeKit accessories, Genius-series devices, Bluetooth and USB controllers, and iPad split-screen multitasking. An eligible FlexRadio device, iOS 17 or later, and suitable network access are required; SmartLink remote operation requires a Version 2 license.

I have used this app since picking up my AU-510m from Dayton in 2026. The app makes it so easy to work the rig from another room or even another state! Macros are flexible and the CW Decoder is one of the best available!

I have a large flex system two radios 860 6600 with tuner genius, antenna, genius and power genius I was really struggling running this on windows with flex software kept having slice master other third-party apps and windows. Every other day updating the software kept crashing system. I was spending hours of my day trying to keep windows working. I packed it all in scrapped windows went and bought a new Mac and I used Marcus‘s SDR software to do everything it is fantastic now I play radio with built-in FT8 whisper and logging programs also DXlogger is a fantastic logging program as well and an optional JS8 CALL software everything works radio always hooks up my Flex radio‘s be work better than ever. I was ready to sell all my radios and throw rocks at them . Marcus software save me the radios work fantastic now I have no problems. Flex radio’s are fantastic. Just don’t use Windows and flex software. This is your ticket. Buy his suite of software and it works fabulous. I also have his Icom control software it works beautiful with a 705 and a 9700 works fantastic. This is a software for you if you want it simple and just to work. Can’t go wrong with this software and running flex on an apple is the way to go.
