User Reviews

User reviews show a pattern: the app offers potentially useful diet-tracking content and custom foods, but is hampered by a small, incomplete food database and unreliable health data import. Users report difficult navigation and UI inconsistencies, plus pricing and refund concerns. Data entry is labor-intensive, with manual entry and metric units complicating use. Overall, it has potential for diabetes/diet management, but current usability, data gaps, and cost issues drive most complaints.
Pros
  • Content is useful for diet management and glycemic awareness.
  • Users can add custom foods to tailor their diary.
  • Some reviewers find it helpful for beginners with diabetes.
  • The app exposes information that can help people make informed food choices.
Cons
  • Incomplete food database with many common items missing.
  • Apple Health (glucose) data import is unreliable or not working as advertised.
  • Poor usability and navigation: non-intuitive UI, confusing menus, unreliable back/button behavior.
  • Price and subscription issues: renewal charges, trial confusion, perceived value.
  • Manual data entry burden: needing to enter nutrition by hand and use metric units; difficult to log meals or save entries.

I can’t get the app to import the data from Apple Health. I have my scale, BP monitor apps hooked up to my Health app… I enter my glucose into the Health app manually. Why won’t this app import the entries like advertised?
