User Reviews

Reviewers broadly praise Cross-a-Pix for its high-quality, challenging puzzles, the long-running Conceptis catalog, and a clean, easy-to-use interface. They also value the regular weekly puzzle releases and the brain-boosting nature of play. However, recurring downsides include irritating rating prompts, limited free content after the initial freebies with a paywall for more puzzles, and a UX choice that auto-finishes puzzles rather than letting players complete spaces themselves. Overall, it remains a favorite for puzzle lovers who don’t mind paying for more content and weekly updates.
Pros
  • Premium, high-quality puzzle experience with the long-running Conceptis reputation.
  • Regular weekly puzzle releases and a large library, with free options available.
  • Excellent, intuitive interface and smooth user experience.
  • Brain-boosting, challenging puzzles that are addictive and rewarding.
Cons
  • Annoying, persistent rating prompts that interrupt play.
  • Limited free content after the initial packs; monetization relies on paid puzzle packs.
  • Auto-finish behavior that completes puzzles for you, reducing user control.

I totally enjoy this game, however, it is completely frustrating to have to keep counting how many blocks in a row are filled in, to figure out how many more are needed. I would think that the ruler would tell me how many blocks are filled in or how many blocks are still needed, but for some reason, the ruler is telling me how many empty blocks there are. That helps me in no way whatsoever. Having to constantly count 30 blocks to figure out how many more are still needed is ridiculous.

I really did enjoy doing these puzzles, they’re decently challenging and pretty satisfying to figure out. The problem is that by the time you get the hang of it the free packs end. After the free packs you get access to a single puzzle every week and that just doesn’t seem worth the space on my phone. I do appreciate the lack of ads on the game but, for me personally, I completely understand if you have to implement an ad system to properly monetize the app and still provide for free players, Tl:dr Good puzzles but there’s not enough free content
