This app is used for distance calculation. You can use it to estimate the range from your iPhone to any object in three simple steps. It would be useful in golfing, shooting sports, and etc.

Help: The app requires camera access. This app needs calibration before the first use.

Calibration: 1. Take a photo of the object. 2. Identify object height in the photo. 3. Enter object height and object distance. 4. Press calculate button.

I calibrated it by putting a 4 inch high mug (imputed .32 feet) exactly 1 foot away. Calibrated. Took it outside to test. Shoot a 1 foot tall object approximately 50 feet away. App said it was only 3 FEET AWAY!!! Tried again and same results. This is a scam and Is probably harvesting personal data.

In order for an app like this to work, the object must be defined by the user, and because it does not, you are relaying on AI to determine what object you are intending to define. You’re better off getting a palm reading to determine distances. Much more accurate.
