User Reviews
Pros
- Informative content across a wide range of topics, with users noting learning opportunities.
- The platform remains a discussion space where users share information and opinions.
- Occasionally users mention compatibility improvements, such as being able to use Reddit on Safari/iOS again.
Cons
- Removal of the /all feed reduces visibility and top-level access to content, driving dissatisfaction.
- Frequent updates that strip features (e.g., markdown editing, Add Link) and increase ads, degrading usability.
- Account and security reliability issues (compromised accounts, login problems, overlays, instability).
- Perceived censorship and problematic moderation (echo chambers, power trips, propaganda concerns).
- Forced use of the app over the mobile web and friction with accessing Reddit via browser."],
- summary":"Overall sentiment is negative with rare positives about content value. Key recurring issues include removal of the /all feed, feature-cutting updates, reliability and security problems, concerns about moderation and censorship, and pressure to use the app over the web. A few users note learning value and Safari compatibility as minor positives. The most mentioned pain points are content visibility changes, degraded UX from updates, and governance/ moderation complaints."} } } )*/} Hmm? Wait, JSON formatting has extra characters.

Fav app on my phone
by fl*****, 2026-06-29
I literally have the app but sometimes I just want to check something quick through a google search and when you scroll outside the app for a minute it LOCKS THE PAGE and you can’t even click the OPEN APP button at the top?? Who designed this pop up??? Where you can’t even open the app that I ALREADY HAVE DOWNLOADED if I scroll on safari for a minute??? Are you serious Reddit? IT LOCKS SO YOU CANT EVEN SCROLL, GO BACK PAGE BY HITTING THE ARROW, OR OPENING THE APP THAT I ALREADY HAVE… you can only refresh the page or type something in the toolbar. I hope they undo whatever they pushed out to the mobile browsers for people who don’t use the app.

The forced auto refresh is infuriating.
