User Reviews

Chord Atlas offers a vast, well-organized chord library with many voicings and inversions, plus effective practice tools like a metronome and chord progressions. Users praise its intuitive interface and strong reference value, including audio/visual chord representation and clear fingering cues. However, pricing is repeatedly criticized: extensions and unlocks are perceived as costly, with concerns about value and purchases. Users also want bookmarking or favorite-teaching features to quickly access preferred voicings. Overall, it's a powerful, comprehensive chord resource with excellent practice aids, but price barriers and missing quick-access features temper enthusiasm.
Pros
  • Extensive chord library and voicings, including many inversions, with a large selection even in the free version.
  • Built-in metronome and chord progression features for effective practice workflows.
  • Intuitive, well-designed interface that’s easy to use for quick reference.
  • Rich audio-visual chord learning: hear chords/arpeggios and view notes as frets, pitches, or intervals.
  • Valuable reference for learners and songwriters; widely praised as a comprehensive chord dictionary.
Cons
  • Pricing and in-app purchases are expensive; extensions/unlocks are perceived as price-gouging.
  • Lacks bookmarking/favorites (quick-access) feature to reference preferred voicings.

This is hands down the best chord app out there. I love the built in metronome feature, super helpful.

Amazing app! Looks and sounds great. Very interactive and has very special features. You can save your favorite chords and the built-in metronome/chord progression feature is pretty awesome, I haven’t seen that in any of the other apps. It’s worth the in-app purchase to get all of the chords, but even the free version has way more options than other apps. Thanks so much for making this available to the world!

I thought this app was going to be my saving grace to help me find and play chords in a single position to get better at playing the chord changes at one position of the fret board but it moves you all around the fret board when you change the chord.
