User Reviews

User reviews largely condemn the app and reliability problems. The hardware offers strong HomeKit/Siri support and customization (per-bulb colors and scenes), but repeated connectivity/pairing failures, crashes, and a confusing UI undermine the experience. Updates have hurt scene management and HomeKit integration. Networking setup can be complex and privacy concerns about location access are noted. Some users report working setups, but overall the product is plagued by connectivity, stability, and software UX issues that detract from the hardware’s potential.
Pros
  • HomeKit/Siri integration is strong when the system is functioning
  • Per-bulb color customization and scene support
  • Historically customizable and reliable when properly configured
  • Powerful functionality once you invest time to learn and set it up
Cons
  • Frequent connectivity and pairing failures, with unreliable connections
  • Buggy app behavior: crashes, confusing UI, and little guidance when things go wrong
  • Scene/HomeKit integration degraded by updates; difficult to manage scenes and keep Siri working
  • Complex networking setup and privacy concerns (requires 2.4 GHz network, precise location access; uneven support)
  • Lights flicker or become unstable (hardware/firmware reliability issues)

I bought it because it was a brand recommended by Apple, but it was a complete disappointment. I will never buy anything from Apple again. The brand you recommended is terrible.

Not a nice setup and not good

The last update 12.3.6 wrecked connection to HomeKit. 2 devices updated lost connection and won’t return. My 3rd one didn’t update and it’s fine. These products are just too touchy with HoneKit, not my first issue with these devices.
