However, reliability problems are common: miles are often undercounted or lost, data can reset after crashes or outages, the app may sign out or crash in the background, reminders are sporadic, and adding notes to drives is not intuitive. Despite these issues, many still rely on it for free mileage tracking and tax record keeping when it works.

App is not tracking my miles correctly

This is the 4th time the app glitched and didn’t record my miles. It only recorded the last trip but the drive kept tracking. I use this for food deliveries and it would be nice if the app didn’t glitch. My location is always on by the way. Now I make sure to do a separate log in case this happens.

The stride app is accurate when it is used. I also like that it has expense reporting built into the app. What I really miss though is the feature that automatically records every drive and then lets the user decide which drives are used for business purposes. It also could have a place to enter beginning mileage for the year.
