User Reviews

Users praise Drum Session for its standout drum sounds, ease of use, rich pattern library, and solid DAW integration with ongoing updates. However, stability is a major concern, with frequent crashes and editing bugs, plus a baked-in reverb lack of control. Price is debated, and some UI readability and device-specific issues appear. Overall, it’s powerful and creative when it runs smoothly, but reliability and refinement are repeatedly requested.
Pros
  • Excellent sound quality and very realistic drum sounds across kits
  • Very easy to use with an intuitive interface and easy pattern insertion
  • Huge variety of loops/patterns and deep customization options
  • Great DAW integration and ability to export/route stems to GarageBand, Cubasis, etc.
  • Active development with quick support and regular updates that fix issues
Cons
  • Frequent crashes and overall instability that can cause data loss
  • Bugs and editing issues, especially with the piano roll and note editing reliability
  • Reverb is baked into the drums with no easy way to remove or separately control it
  • Perceived high price / value; several users feel it is overpriced for the current feature set
  • UI/readability and some device-specific problems (e.g., iPad Pro pad/keyboard issues; hard-to-read controls)

didn't even bother to write anything in description read the title save your hard earned bucks mate. im not even sure if I'll get the refund. wouldn't even use it for free. im sorry but these are facts. abondoned little app. sigh! I’m sorry, this app has become a thing that nobody wants to be a part with. Such potential! This is just sad to see once such promising phenomenon to get lost and defeated! Whatever! Nothing is permanent in this world. It’s alright. This app is not your life dear dev. You have a lot more important things in your plate than this app.

I just bought this, and realize the thick reverb on every drum kit is baked in. The sound is artificial an awful. I wish I had known.

It still is my top favorite app and if it had real time multi out it would be the ultimate! This way you can have it send out each audio stem in real time to each track in Cubasis. I’m using it with Alesis Nitro Mesh drumkit to trigger the kits on the iPad and it works! Love it! I highly recommend this app! MM4C
