Features & Capabilities

Rhythm Pad is a feature-rich drum pad and beat sequencer that lets you play drums, record performances, and export your loops as audio files. It ships with high-quality stereo drum kits, a realistic open/closed hi-hat, and optional reverb and compression to shape your sound.

Use the 8-bar sequencer to assemble patterns, record live performances, apply quantization for timing accuracy, and customize kits, pad levels, and layout. Export your recordings as AAC or WAV and reuse them in other projects or apps.

User Reviews

Rhythm Pad is widely praised for ease of use, portability, and good drum sounds, plus recording/exporting tracks and compatibility with loops and aux input. It’s beginner-friendly and great for practice. However, reviews repeatedly cite intrusive ads, bugs/crashes, difficulty importing custom samples, limited time signatures/instrument variety, and latency/performance issues after updates, hampering usability for some users.
Pros
  • Easy to use and highly portable drum pad.
  • Drum sounds feel like a real kit and are of good quality.
  • Recording and exporting tracks is a useful feature.
  • Beginner-friendly and great for practicing or jamming.
  • Works well with loops and an aux input for flexible setups.
Cons
  • Ads are aggressive and persist even after paying for the app.
  • Bugs and crashes; frequent instability.
  • Difficulty or lack of options to import custom samples.
  • Limited time signatures and instrument variety (missing 5/4, 7/8, etc.).
  • Latency and performance issues, especially after updates; some features like GarageBand integration or MIDI export are missing.

I hadn’t used the app I’m a while. Came back to use and the google AD was so large it made the app unusable, and I can’t figure out how to get rid of it.

I wanted a drum pad. Ads are very agressive. I understand it's a free app but I lose the sound of the kit after it everytime.
