Pay with Rewards lets you spend Mastercard points like cash at millions of participating locations worldwide. Link a Pay with Rewards-enabled Mastercard and configure when and where your points are redeemed. When you pay, the transaction is processed as usual, and selecting to redeem points adds a statement credit to your card. Note: Mastercard Pay with Rewards is only available on certain Mastercard cards; availability varies by issuer.

Getting started: connect your card by entering the Pay with Rewards-enabled Mastercard number and creating a four-digit app PIN to protect your settings. Answer security questions from your issuer. The home screen shows your points balance, the cash value, and your current Pay with Rewards setting. Turn Pay with Rewards on for future purchases or leave it off and redeem from Activity.

You know how you can a feeling of confidence when using a well designed fintech app that provides visual and UI clues about what is happening and what you might do if things go wrong? This app has none of those things. Maybe that’s fine if you can use it for its intended purpose but that’s the problem. I get an error when I enter my credit card number. And then that’s the end of the journey. I have called my bank to try to get it resolved but that didn’t work out. So now I need to find Mastercard’s phone number to try and resolve the issue. This is not how a simple reward app should work in 2026.
