Users praise the hardware and some remote-control features, but repeatedly complain about unreliable connectivity, syncing delays, frequent crashes, poor setup, and lack of zone status visibility. The strongest positives are a solid controller and useful station-test/remote control when the app works. The most repeated negatives are app stability and reconnect issues, slow or failed sync, and setup/login frustrations, plus not knowing which zone is running or how long. Overall, the app works intermittently and needs major reliability and UX improvements; the hardware is fine, but the software undermines the system’s usefulness.

Pros

The physical controller hardware is solid/good.
Station test feature works well for testing zones and remote control.
When the app is functioning, it provides convenient remote management of the controller.
Manual control of zones via the app works (when stable).

Cons

Unreliable connectivity and long, inconsistent syncs between the app and the main unit.
Frequent crashes, poor usability, and settings not reliably saving or applying.
Frustrating setup and login issues (server errors, hub Wi‑Fi pairing, lack of clear instructions).
Lack of real-time status visibility (cannot easily see which zone is running or how long remaining).

Agree with many of the reviews here after using the system now for almost 1 year. The controller itself is a good controller. Unfortunately though the iPhone app and connectivity is horrible. Sometimes the app loads, sometimes it does not. When it does load, I get the ‘Syncing’ message and it’s 50/50 whether that will end with Online or not. And even if it does, it takes 5 minutes or more sometimes to Sync. Imagine an app where you wanted to turn on a light and everytime it took 5 mins for that app to sync before you could. You never use it. Come on Krain. Surely you can do better.

Downloaded the app to iPhone. Every time i try to create an account there’s a server error. Saying it’s MY server. Horrible app.

Over the years, I have used many applications. This is absolutely the worst app I have ever used. It is not intuitive, it is not user-friendly. I finally got to the point where I stopped using the app entirely and just manually set up my irrigation system. The hub took forever to hook up to my Wi-Fi, which is one of the highest rated and fastest Wi-Fi systems available. The hub continues to disconnect from the Wi-Fi about every four or five months requiring an entire reset. The system itself is not bad, but the application and the Wi-Fi interface are the worst I have ever seen in any device! I do not know why they have not addressed these issues. I would not recommend getting this system until they fix it.
