Every messaging app promises privacy. WolfChat hands you the keys.

WolfChat runs on a server you own. Not in another company's data centre, not in
a country you did not choose, not under terms of service that can change
overnight without telling you. Your messages sit where you decided they should
sit, and they stop there.

WHAT IS DELIBERATELY MISSING

There is no feed that scrolls forever. No algorithm deciding what you see. No
strangers recommended to you, no broadcast channels, no advertising watching
what you type.

Some apps keep adding features until you forget why you opened them. WolfChat
does one thing: it gets your message to the person you meant. That is all, and
that is finished.

YOU CAN CHECK FOR YOURSELF

WolfChat is built on open-source software licensed under AGPL-3.0, and the
complete corresponding source for the version you install is available for
anyone to download. You do not have to trust our word — you can read the code.

STATED PLAINLY

Traffic between the app and the server is protected with TLS. Conversations in
new rooms are not end-to-end encrypted, which means your own server and the
staff you authorise can read them. We are telling you on this page, before you
install — not in the fortieth paragraph of a policy.

If you need end-to-end encryption, you deserve to know that now, not later.

YOU STAY IN CONTROL

• Block anyone
• Report messages that break the rules
• Delete your account and its data, straight from the app, without emailing
anyone and without waiting for approval
