Review summary

Reviews value the app’s weather and disaster information and its ability to send alerts, but users repeatedly report that alerts are unreliable or don’t match the information shown in the app. The loud notification sound is a frequent concern, particularly for nighttime alerts. Some users also say their selected country resets, while others encounter server errors or delayed updates.

Pros

Provides weather and disaster information.
Can deliver alert notifications when functioning.

Cons

Alerts are unreliable: they may be missing, delayed, or show a notification without any information in the app.
The loud, siren-like notification sound is frightening and can be disruptive, especially at night.
Saved country settings may reset or switch to another country, preventing users from seeing relevant updates.
The app sometimes reports server errors or fails to display current updates.

Received notifications sounds but major delays when app is open to see message..have not received notifications nor updates in 24 hrs.

No alerts. Over the past month we have had storms, waves and flash flood warnings and none of those alets came through the app. If it did what it should it would avoid a lot of fake news and misinformation.

Realistically, the app needs more work. The app is a national disaster alert app, but the alerts don't work all the time.

The sound needs to change and when there's an alert I don't get the sound.

I can't rate this. Always saying server unavailable. And giving wrong time for next update

This App needs to be updated to work with the latest versions of Android. Some devices can't install it.

Deleted the app after the alarm sounded at 2am scaring me half to death, then when I checked the app, theree was no alert. Routinely when I see a notification for a weather update, there is no update when I open the app even after refreshing several times.

Pls change the notification sound on this app. It causes a panic especially when it goes off in the late hours of the night or early hours of the morning. The sound is too over the top.

Please change the notification sound for the app. That alarming sound is panic-inducing. I could understand if the notification was for an approaching tsunami or tornado or something imminently catastrophic like that. but not for a flood warning where there is no real need to get up and find cover urgently.

The app is good, however, that siren like notification sound scares me everytime.
