Color Overlay is a filter which puts a tint on your browser viewport to make text more readable. Color and opacity are fully configurable. This could be used by people suffering by visual distortions reading the content on the normal background (Scotopic Sensitivity Syndrome). The coloured overlay can improve reading abilities of such users by reducing or eliminate perceptual processing errors.
This a new version of a popular extension. In the new release we listened to our users. So we essentially improved the user interface and added some new features, such as the possibility to save selected colours as favourites.

Changing the colour works fine for me. I've noticed that if I switch the extension on while at Google's homepage, nothing happens until I navigate to a new webpage (or type in a search query) and then click 'on' again. Not a big problem for me, though.
