Extension summary
Allusion is a tool built for artists, aimed to help you organize your Visual Library – A single place that contains your entire collection of references, inspirations and any other kinds of images.
This web clipper extension allows you to import and tag images directly from your web browser into Allusion.
How it works:
- Ensure Allusion is installed: See https://allusion-app.github.io/
- Enable Browser Extension support from the settings panel
- To import an image from Chrome, simply right click on any image and pick the "Add to Allusion" option
- Alternatively, an image can be picked from the page. The default shortcut is Ctrl+Shift+1
- After importing, add one or more tags using the popup window of this extension. The default shortcut is Ctrl+Shift+L
User reviews
Extremely helpful web extension which is so close to getting me to switch from my old photo manager.
The only thing that's missing for me is the ability to select already existing tags to the imported image. Maybe a dropdown menu or something related that allows us to quickly and more easily find and apply tags without worrying about typos or remembering exactly what a tag was called. Other than that, this is a very handy app and extension. If there's any way to support development lemme know!
"coud not import image" - why?
Hi Daniel and the Allusion Team
Thank you for making this wonderful App and Extension! I'm definitely going to recommend Allusion to my friends.
As for the Allusion Web Clipper Extension itself, the "Add to Allusion" function (under right click), would it be possible to let the users assign a keyboard shortcut for that particular action on Chrome/Edge? (chrome://extensions/shortcuts) or (edge://extensions/shortcuts)
