Replace Bookmark Bar

I installed because I was searching for extension that would just show the list of bookmarks when I press on extension icon. As I don't want bookmark bar to take up so much screen space. But it was not that... Maybe brave and genius developer will develop such an extension in the future. I also installed this extension because it requested reasonable permissions - to read the bookmarks. Other extensions request everything - read all pages I visit, which is like showing everything to the world publicly. Anyway, I will go search some more.

I have to admit. I'm disappointed. But then again, it does exactly what you said it did... But I really wasn't expecting all my bookmarks to just go *poof*. All lost. Thank you for the heads up. -.- Would love a button to reverse it. Or that the plugin used the bookmark bar as an "iframe" of sorts. To show a different folder, until plugin is turned off. But no... Now all my bookmarks are gone. Thankfully I have a *.bak, but sadly it's weeks old, and doesn't have my newest bookmarks in it.

All this does is let you choose a folder from your "Other Bookmarks" folder and overwrite what's currently in your Bookmarks Bar folder. I was expecting it to just use another folder as the Bookmarks Bar content, not delete everything I had in it currently. You can easily do the same thing manually with copy/paste. Use with caution.
