What is Linetef?

Linetef is a Chrome extension designed to enhance your browsing experience by allowing you to quickly create both horizontal and vertical guides for measuring elements. It lets you establish distances in both pixels or percentage mode. Essential features include configurable guide colors, options to change the position of the rulers, and toggle visibility of distances and viewport size. Seamless navigation is ensured by various keyboard shortcuts.

Create guides in the screen in order to measure elements (both horizontal and vertical guides).
See the distances between elements (or measures) in pixels or percentage mode.

Select the color of the created guides.
Choose the position of the rulers (top/bottom and left/right of the screen).

This is the best measurement extension I've found so far. Dragging the guide lines from the edges is much less fiddly than trying to click in the right place. Very easy to get an accurate measurement. Lots of options to get a good readout. Enabling the extension by changing the "show extension" option makes me worry that it'll always be on, just not visible, and therefore might affect performance. So far it's a great extension though!
