2024-11-13 | Дмитро Лень | en | Brilliant idea! As a web developer itself, I can't stop enjoying this extension after its downloading 👍 Starting from the Intro webpage with the usage explanation and a funny frog, to simple-made and neat UI. (A heart emoji on the word previewer – I like such approach!) Though please give me an opportunity to act as an adviser of UI/UX ahaha: – I'd update the background of the popup window to white and made UI elements a little bit family-friendly and charming, though strict design sets the mind for learning ahaha ;) (update: using it for more than 30 minutes and don't care about the design ahaha) – Split visualy popup to the sections: "Settings" (first two groups of checkboxes and radios), "Settings Presets" (How to use CWS), "Additional Tools" -> Video: Settings and Dual subtitles, "History": Recall, Rewrite, and Respeak and Other: rest. Kind of this, it would help better navigating of the popup on the first opening, cz I was confused a little; and even now still it looks not grouped to me Bugs found (5 minutes used only, couldn't resist to not write a review first and then continue my stuff lol): – the state "Ways to use CWS" is not saved when re-opening the popup Question: – Does it saves the configured settings? I'm scared to click anything in popup, because it may go to the default settings, and I will have to configure my settings again. If it doesn't save the configured settings, may be there is a sense of adding a custom user Setting profile? I see it as much heart and time put into this extension! Great job! You are the man (or men, or team!)!

A minor usability request if it's possible: I have looked everywhere in the settings for a way to make the pop up dictionary appear above the current word instead of below and can't find a way. I am unable to use a mouse and keyboard due to a disability, so have to position the cursor over characters by voice command. Once the dictionary shows, it usually blocks the next line of text and i have to move it with another voice command to continue reading. You largely have great keyboard shortcuts, so props for that, makes disabled folks's lives easier :-)

2024-09-23 | Jonathan Sumalia | en | Bruv, the fact that the dev replied a paragraph to a one word 1 star negative review tells me that this project is active lol. And the man cares about the project. Both beginners to expert benefits from this extension. There are lots of features but the design makes it so that you can use the extension immediately and explore the other settings later to avoid being overwhelmed. Good ting :) and u don't have to respond to negative reviews dev. We know the value, ignore the haters lol Edit: 2 weeks of using it, you can SOMETIMES get lost finding the settings that you want to change, some aren't categorized well ;-; It's a good thing there's a small tip when you hover to a setting so you understand what it does Bias <--> I haven't explored every feature tho so I'm probably not using this extension to its fullest potential, Still 5/5

2024-09-07 | 愛德華多 | en | UPDATE: Thanks very much for the new feature. Now is really easy to enable/disable the dictionary. In the meanwhile I found out how to reproduce the problem in google translate, if you use it to translate from Chinese to English and after entering Chinese text you want to copy the text to the clipboard with Ctrl+C, the Ctrl key will activate the pop-up dictionary and afterwards the textbox for entering Chinese text is no longer editable and the text can't be changed anymore, the only solution is to reload the page. This is a great extension for Chinese learners. It replaces the Chinese popup dictionary, the simplified to traditional Chinese converter and it also has additional features which make it invaluable. There is still one missing feature I would love to have. Some easy way of disabling and enabling it (some popup dictionaries do this by clicking on their icon), now I have to keep the settings page open to switch it off there. Alternatively some sort of site whitelist for which the extension is not active would be great. I noticed that it does not work well on google translate site. Youtube also will stop playing the video when the popup appears. So I would like to disable the extension in those sites. Other than these tiny things I can only recommend this extension to every Chinese learner
