Features & Capabilities

FTODE (Finally That Online Downloader Extension) is a clean, friendly, and open-source tool that lets you download video and audio from the web with a single click.

✨ Features: • 1-Click Video & Audio Downloads: Save videos in MP4/WEBM or extract audio directly to MP3. • Multi-Site Support: Works across YouTube, SoundCloud, Vimeo, Twitch, Reddit, and hundreds more. • Live Download Progress: See your download speed, progress percentage, and time remaining right inside the popup. • Playlist Support: Easily grab entire playlists or albums. • Beautiful Theme: Sleek modern design with built-in Dark and Light mode. • 100% Free & Open-Source: No ads, no trackers, and zero personal data collection.

⚙ How It Works: Browser extensions cannot run video converters or save files directly to custom folders on their own. FTODE connects to a free, lightweight open-source companion host on your computer (powered by yt-dlp and FFmpeg). When you open the extension for the first time, you can set it up in 1 click!

⚠ Note: FTODE does not support DRM-encrypted services (such as Netflix or Spotify).
