PixelZoomer

PixelZoomer takes a website screenshot and provides a measuring tool, a zoom and an eye dropper.

PixelZoomer is a versatile Chrome extension designed for developers and designers who need precise pixel analysis on any webpage. It allows you to capture screenshots of the current site and then offers tools such as a pixel-perfect ruler for distance measurement, a zoom and pan feature that magnifies up to 3200%, and an eye dropper tool that picks colors in HEX and RGB formats. Additional capabilities include undo/redo functionality and the ability to open the captured screenshot in a new tab for deeper inspection. Whether working on UI design, front-end development, or pixel-perfect layouts, PixelZoomer simplifies your workflow by providing essential visual measurement tools directly in your browser.

User reviews

PixelZoomer is widely praised for its precision in pixel-perfect design tasks, color picking, and ease of use in web development. It efficiently captures screenshots for detailed inspection. Multiple users noted issues with 4K display compatibility and photo capture glitches when taking many images consecutively. The tool only measures horizontal and vertical distances, which some find limiting. A few users experienced activation problems and expressed concern about the extension's broad permissions. Overall, it is recommended for web designers seeking a reliable measurement and color picking tool.
Pros
  • Very useful for pixel-perfect design and front-end web development.
  • Allows measurement, color picking, and zooming on screen captures with precision.
  • Simple, handy, and easy to use for web developers and designers.
  • Can capture screenshots and open them in new tabs for further inspection and saving.
  • Helpful for measuring distances and colors accurately on web pages.
Cons
  • Incompatibility with 4K displays, causing screenshots to appear doubled in size.
  • Issues when taking multiple photos continuously; photos repeat and new ones cannot be taken.
  • Does not measure diagonal distances, only horizontal and vertical, limiting functionality.
  • Occasional bugs where clicks do not activate the tool despite it being turned on.
  • Permissions required are broad and may be concerning to some users.

Tool semplicemente fantastico, fa tutto quello che deve fare, ideale se si stanno sviluppando interfacce grafiche per misurare, selezionare i colori, ecc.

Great utility but it seems to have an error on Chrome, when taking many photos continuously, the photos are repeated and new photos cannot be taken.
